About McGregor Founder's Day

McGregor Founder's Day is a long standing tradition in McGregor, Texas. It is a time for the community to come together to celebrate and enjoy our small town heritage. Local artisans and food vendors line the streets during the morning and afternoon. Meanwhile dance teams, cheerleaders, and other performance artists and bands put on shows for your entertainment throughout the day. There are also plenty of games and activities for children to enjoy during the day including a petting zoo and bounce house.

Held each year during the third weekend of September, McGregor Founder's Day offers a full weekend of events. The festivities kick off with a barbecue cook off and concert on Friday night.

Saturday begins with a 5K race and parade in the morning. Finally, the festival closes out with a street dance accompanied by live music performed by popular local artists.

McGregor Founder's Day is generously funded by local sponsors and donations, as well as fundraisers held by the McGregor Movement throughout the year. Click here to find out more information about how you can get involved!
